A warm and focussed tone is supported by the high-quality Mozambique Grenadilla wood the bass is made from. The hole featured on the bow of the bell helps the lower notes respond easily and allows tonal flexibility, making the 1180 bass ideal for a wide range of musical styles. This clarinet is admired for its ease in playing between registers thanks to its new and simplified register key system.

The Buffet Student Model Bass Clarinet is supplied with compact green line lightweight case, lined with high quality cotton velvet, covered with black premium cotton velvet with two black plated metal latches and side handles. Inside it also has a pull through, cork grease, pencil and silver-plated ligature and cap.
