The Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin returns to Wigmore Hall with a signature mix of well-loved masterpieces and hidden gems of the Baroque era. Xenia Löffler, the ensemble’s internationally sought-after solo oboist, presents haunting concertos for her instrument: the splendour of the Dresden court shines through in the anonymous Concerto in G minor for 2 oboes, while Johann Wilhelm Hertel’s Oboe Concerto represents the seductive elegance of the Dresden court.
