Following several requests, come join us for a hands-on workshop on Bassoon reed making at the Howarth of London showrooms. Whether you’re a beginner or already have some experience, this event is perfect for anyone looking to learn how to make a reed.

This is the ideal event for bassoonists or parents of bassoonists looking to get involved in their children’s Bassoon playing.

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn from experts in a friendly and supportive environment.

This session will be led by experienced bassoonists, teachers and reedmakers, Anthea Wood and Dominic Morgan.

We will be learning how to assemble a reed from gouged, shaped and profiled cane (supplied at the session).

Hopefully, everyone will reach a point where they have a functioning reed. If there is time, we may look at binding the reed.

If you are interested in adjusting reeds as well, the morning session may also be of interest!
