Launched in 2022, the Muse is Selmer’s latest clarinet and sits at the top of their range.

Muse clarinets have been designed for clarinettists seeking a precise and direct response. They offer great ease of playing, immediate vibration, and a colourful and warm tone.

The Muse provides great homogeneity and ease throughout the registers, allowing the player to seamlessly move between larger intervals while maintaining accurate intonation.

The EVOLUTION★ system has been integrated to the Muse clarinet which involves applying a new generation resin to coat the interior of the upper joint. This innovation helps to stabilise the wood and provide better longevity to the instrument, all while preserving the acoustic qualities of the traditional wooden clarinet.

The Muse’s keywork was designed with ergonomic comfort in mind that is similar to the Privilège and Présence, allowing for quick adaptation to the instrument.

Muse clarinets have two back chrome-plated metal rings, as well as two silver plated rings with a new design.

The Muse is supplied with a silver lockable, compact single Prisme case. It includes two barrels, a pull through, cork grease, swab, soft cloth and notebook.

It is supplied with an Echo mouthpiece; suitable for all clarinettists, lending immediate response and consistency with a round and colourful sound.

The bottom joint features a laser engraving of a feather symbolising lightness and creative freedom, inspired by the values of generosity, listening and transmission of the musical practice.

Warranty

This instrument is covered by a two-year guarantee with Henri Selmer Paris against all manufacturing or material defects. This guarantee extends to cracks and tenons.

This instrument comes with a 1 Year Warranty from Howarth of London and includes a free ‘Guarantee Checkover’ from our Repair Workshop before the warranty expires.
