Respected as an excellent bass clarinet for both student and amateur players, the Buffet Crampon 1180 student model bass clarinet has a rich timbre, excellent intonation, and overall comfort of playing. The bass supports an excellent fluid legato and a wide and homogeneous sound.

A warm and focused tone is supported by the high-quality Mozambique grenadilla wood. The hole featured on the bow of the bell helps the lower notes to respond more easily and allows tonal flexibility, making the 1180 bass ideal for a wide range of musical styles. This clarinet is admired for its ease in playing between registers thanks to its new and simplified register key system.
