Description

Original C18 4-key bassoon with brass rings, A=415, maple with brass keys, estimated (by William Waterhouse) to be of German/Austrian origin.
This instrument was restored in late ’70s by Jeremy Soulsby. 2 crooks: (a) a contemporary late C18 or early C19crook (b) a copy of a crook in the Bate Collection selected to match the instrument, and built by Graham Lyndon Jones in the 1980s. In a Howarth ‘Tube’ case.
