Vandoren V16 mouthpieces are inspired by the sounds of the greatest Jazz players
from the fifties to the present. Java, V16 and ZZ reeds are more
recommended for these mouthpieces. These mouthpieces are characterised
by their clean, pure and bright tone that makes them ideal for jazz or
pop playing. They are flexible and easily controllable, a signature of

For the Alto, these
mouthpieces come in two chambers, Medium (M) and Small (S+). The new S+
chamber is the next step in the evolution of the V16 alto
mouthpiece. It offers a richer depth of sound while keeping the
free-blowing nature and projection that characterize the V16 alto
models. The S+ chamber also accommodates more air providing the
musician greater flexibility and a wider array of colours with which to
work. Essentially it focuses the sound due to the smaller chamber and
this gives it a bright and punchy sound. Meanwhile, the M Medium chamber
mouthpieces come in two chambers, Medium (M) and Small (S+). The new S+
chamber is the next step in the evolution of the V16 alto
mouthpiece. It offers a richer depth of sound while keeping the
